This site is for people who love the "50" and even those that love to hate it, as once it gets into your blood you can not get rid of the attachment. Some of us have been parading and racing our 50cc Classic Bikes here in the UK, Belgium and Holland for a few years and as there is a growing interest in the more modern machinery it became obvious that changing the name of the current club was necessary. The name chosen more reflects the interests of its members and the age span of the bikes which range from the early 1950's to 1983.
The club is targeted at all 50cc racing machines and their riders from the early beginnings around 1953, through the classic period and up to the time when the class was dropped from the GP's in 1983. The club aims to promote the class through Racing, Parading, Shows and Exhibitions.
We have never lost the affection that developed when we first saw these little racers, Itom, Motom, Demm, NSU, as they were a perfect form of racing, were within our budgets and gave as many thrills for us as the lads got on their bigger bikes. At present we have around 90 members. These are not only in the UK but also in Holland, Belgium, Italy, USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia. Some of us have bikes that we have had since the 60's, some are just interested in supporting the club and still others want to obtain and restore bikes so that they can take part. We currently have 24 racing members in the UK and that will increase as the club grows.
If you are interested in the 50cc and its potential for classic road racing, Sprinting, Hill Climb then send us an email by going to the 'Contact Us' page where you will find email addresses and phone numbers of the club members that you will need to talk to.
